Misfire still persistī – Swapped the barrel and hop up assembly with its sister AEG – the only difference is barrel length. So maybe an obstruction somewhere between the mag to the hopup to the barrelĪ - Full clean the gearbox - degrease and relubedĬ - Replaced the main spring (however I didn’t replaced the tappet spring, but visual inspection as well as force test suggested it was fine)Į – Visually inspect all other gearbox parts for wear –everything actually looks fairly newĪ – Disassembled, cleaned, and inspected the barrel and hopup. This could cause bb not being chambered correctly every couple of shotĢ – Something is causing bb not being chambered. Since I chrono aiming down into the machine, I noticed that approximately 10% of these misfires results in a bb rolling out the barrel.ġ – Perhaps over time, the tappet plate spring or the main spring was getting worn (or any other part that affects cycyling) – leading to improper nozzle timing. The majority of these misfires come in the form of no bb exiting (sounds as if it is dry firing). Every 3 to 20 shots, I would have a misfire. There is no double shots – it appears that bbs randomly doesn’t feed. My AEG just recently develop a misfiring issue. I want to give and accurate detail account of my thinking process and what I’ve done so far in an attempt to try to solve the problem. I apologize for the long post, but I been wracking my head on this for the better part of two days and feel like I’m getting tunnel vision.
